On 28 May 2008, a delegation of 16 journalists from radio, TV and print media in Germany and Switzerland visited Zhejiang Province and the EECZ Programme. The visit was organised by the German "Journalists. Network" and GTZ. Two staff members from GTZ Beijing Office and EECZ staff accompanied the delegation.

In the morning, the delegation visited the production processes and management facilities of the Sino-German Healthcare Waste Solutions Co., Ltd, in Huzhou, a joint-venture initiated in September 2004 with the support of the EECZ Programme. The Zhejiang Solid Waste Management Information System (SWMIS), which is accessible to both waste management authorities and waste disposal and comprehensive utilisation companies throughout Zhejiang, was also introduced.

The day concluded with a visit to Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Nickle Materials Co., Ltd, EECZ's former EoCM (Environment-oriented Cost Management) pilot company. The delegates were introduced to examples of this successful application of the environmental management tool, EoCM and also to the company's CSR implementation.
