On 14 and 15 August 2008, Mrs. Annette Hamkens, assistant of Mr. Jochen Borchert (member of the German Bundestag, of the Bundestag Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development, and of the GTZ Supervisory Board), and Mr. Torge Hamkens, assistant of Mr. Burkhardt Müller-Sönksen (member of the German Bundestag), visited EECZ Programme.

On the first day, both were briefed on the history, practice and achievements of EECZ Programme in the past 6 years. An in-depth discussion was conducted with following representatives of EECZ: Dr. Jochen Vida, ERM long-term expert, Mr. Ma Xiangdong, Deputy Manager of EECZ, Mr. Iain Shepherd, CSR consultant of EECZ, and Mr. Gu Fang, Programme Officer of EECZ.

On the second day, visits to two EoCM pilot companies in Huzhou were organised, namely, Zhejiang Zhebei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Tianneng Battery Co., Ltd. During the visit, the visitors were shown EoCM programmes and achievements of the companies.
