The Sino-German Technical Cooperation Programme EECZ assists in the existing efforts of the provincial government of Zhejiang to reduce environmental pollution through industrial production or hazardous waste by closely cooperating with various partners:

Zhejiang Environmental Protection Bureau (ZEPB)
ZEPB is the main implementing Chinese partner organisation of the EECZ Programme, and plays an important role in implementing tasks in both hazardous waste management and eco-efficiency components. The Zhejiang Solid Waste Management and Supervision Centre, a unit within the ZEPB, is responsible for the coordination and cooperation between the Chinese and German parties, while other departments, such as the Pollution Control Department and the Law and Regulation Department, work closely with the EECZ team to carry out the tasks defined during the annual Operational Planning Meeting.

 

Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ GmbH)

The Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations. It provides viable, forward-looking solutions for political, economic, ecological and social development in a globalised world. With 25 years experience in technical cooperation in China, GTZ now focuses on sustainable economic development, environmental policy and energy management. The challenges of resources efficiency and climate change feature highly on GTZ’s agenda.

 

Zhejiang Economic and Trade Commission (ZETC)
ZETC is one of the implementing agencies of the EECZ Programme. According to the Chinese Cleaner Production Promotion Law, effective from 1 Jan. 2003 , the ZETC must implement cleaner production in Zhejiang . EECZ works closely with ZETC in the field of promoting cleaner and eco-efficient production.

 

Other Important Cooperation Partners:

 

Zhejiang Health Bureau (ZHB)
The ZHB is a cooperation partner that assists EECZ with programmes related to hospital waste management. The partnership has successfully cooperated on the Jinhua Hospital Waste Management Pilot Project and hopes to establish further cooperation in the future.


Zhejiang University
The College of Environment and Resource of Zhejiang University participates and contributes to both workshops and training programmes organized by EECZ. Two recent examples are the Dioxin Reduction workshop and a Hazardous Waste Pollution Coefficient workshop.


Zhejiang Cleaner Production Centre (ZJCPC)
ZJCPC is a special Cleaner Production (CP) consulting organization located in Zhejiang , China , and a trial company for the state CP audit. ZJCPC is recorded by SEPB and approved by Zhejiang EPB.


Hoson
Zhejiang Hoson Information Technology is engaged in e-government systems integration, software development and safe service information. The company prides itself on providing outstanding passion and innovation for the customer, and has cooperated with EECZ on the Zhejiang Solid Waste Management Information System.

Environmental Resource Management (ERM)
Providing environmental consultancy worldwide, ERM began cooperating with EECZ in early of 2004. Long and short-term international ERM experts based and national experts based in Zhejiang are responsible for the implementation of the Programme's focus on establishing a well-regulated, province wide hazardous waste management system.

Centrum fuer internationale Migration und Entwicklung (CIM)
Centrum fuer internationale Migration und Entwicklung (CIM) is a human resources recruitment and placement organisation for German development cooperation and has cooperated with EECZ in variety of ways.

Senior Experten Service (SES)
Senior
Experten Service (SES) is a non-profit corporation whose sole shareholder is the Foundation of German Industry for International Cooperation.

KfW Banking Group (KfW)
KfW banking group provides banking expertise and support and gives impulses for the economy, society and ecology in Germany , Europe and the world over. It supports change and promotes promising ideas.

 

Deutsche Investitions - und Entwicklungsgesellschaft GmbH (DEG)
DEG is a member of KfW banking group and is one of the largest European development finance institutions for long-term project and company financing. For more than 40 years, DEG has been financing and structuring the investments of private companies in developing and transition countries.
